After Congress broke in line first for their Covid vaccinations, they finally passed a pandemic stimulus bill and then skedaddled. They left warm homes in Washington D.C. for their warm second residences back in their home states.
For months they have been deaf to the cries of “help” from 17 million Americans behind on their rent or mortgages. The second round of checks of $600 will do little more than buy food, a tent, a Coleman stove and sleeping bags for the soon to be homeless.
