The first edition of The Austin Report was issued in 1995 edited by Michael Byrd, founder of Austin Rare Coins., Inc. and written by a number of contributors. Today, the newsletter and website are solely owned by Byrd Pro, Inc., a private Texas corporation.
This website is not associated with the U.S. Mint or any other coin company. Our opinions are just that— our personal opinions based on our experience in the precious metals and rare coin industry since 1985. We don’t buy, sell or trade Gold, Silver, or Rare Coins.
DISCLAIMERS
Our reports are based on information we deem accurate at time of publication and will be subject to change. Do your own due diligence. Our reports are intended for educational purposes and for those seeking alternative news, ideas and advice from experienced buyers and sellers of precious metals and rare coins.
This information is not to be used as individual investment advice or is it a recommendation to buy, sell, or trade any asset that requires a licensed broker. Precious metals, like all investments, have risk. Past performance of a particular asset class does not guarantee future performance.
Precious metals and rare coins can increase or decrease in value. We believe that precious metals are a long term investment and should be held for at least 3 to 5 years, preferably 5 to 10 years, recognizing any specific holding period may be affected by current market conditions.
