Covid 19 Pandemic—Wave 2

Covid 19 Pandemic—Wave 2

Coming soon is the sequel we’ve all been fearing! No it’s not another Halloween horror movie. It’s not another election, please no. It’s worse than anyone has told us, I’m afraid—

It’s Covid 19 Part 2

Across Europe the second wave of the Coronavirus Pandemic has begun. Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, the U.K, and Ukraine—hit all-highs in caseloads.

Belgium and the Czech Republic are currently reporting about 146 and 115 new daily cases per 100,000 people. That’s 3.5 times to 4.4 times higher than the E.U. average of 33 per 100,000.

If headlines are not enough warning, just a sample of data from these three continents tell a grave story of reported Covid cases building in Wave 2.

What Should We Expect in the Coming Waves

Depending on the outcome of the U.S. election, the government’s response to Wave 2 of the Covid Pandemic is uncertain. But seeing that Wave 2 and 3 are still developing worldwide, politicians will do something unprecedented.

Will the Federal Reserve and Congress print more fiat paper? Let’s say another $2 Trillion before year’s end. That leads us to ask the question that everyone has completely ignored. How much money creation and stimulus is too much?

At what point does the CoronaVirus go away and declare its killed enough people? That it’s damaged the world economy enough? Will it fade out with a vaccine In 18 months eventually leaving a disastrous path of financial destruction in its wake.

More Destructive Than Any Hurricane

Like a tornado destroys a town, like a hurricane destroys a coastal state, the CoronaVirus will impress its tragedy on every major country in the world. Big nations will attempt to print money in vast quantities to tide them over. Smaller nations will have nowhere to turn for help.

Countries that seemingly dodged Wave 1 of the virus are not immune. the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918-1920 crossed the planet in waves. Just when Americans thought a change in seasons had eradicated the Spanish Flu, another wave arrived.

Looks like summer and the extreme lockdowns did suppress the pandemic for a time. But, here we are in fall still wearing masks waiting for a quick cure we call a vaccine. The physical production and distribution to more than 328 million Americans will take a long time. We’re sure to be far into Wave wearing masks, social distancing, and avoiding crowds until late 2021.
