Imagine If The U.S. Bought Microsoft

Gold Investing, My Diary, U.S. Debt Bomb | December 18, 2020

Russia was caught again spying on U.S. government computers— sensitive systems like the department that keeps up with our nuclear weapons. Russians appear to have compromised the Departments of Energy, State, Defense, Homeland Security, Treasury and Commerce. The breach is so egregious that we’re told it may take years before anyone can determine what damage has been done.

How To Fix Hacks

What if someone at the Federal Reserve added up all the computer costs for the U.S. government and decided it would be cheaper to buy Microsoft and let them fix all the hacks. Americans could then buy computers wholesale, at cost, never pay a yearly fee for Microsoft Office, and have all the nation’s brainpower we needed to go after hackers.

That makes sense doesn’t it? The Federal Reserve will just throw together a concoction of numbers and like magic they create a “Trillion Dollars” and buy out Microsoft. Like always, when there’s a crisis, the Fed can just create more money and have the knuckleheads in Congress spend it. Forget sidewalks, shovel ready infrastructure projects, we just by Microsoft.

If Money Fixes Everything

Let’s suppose that idea catches on. Then, the government could just takeover AT&T the same way way with a buyout using more fake Fed money. Everyone could get free cell service, free satellite TV service, free HBO, and the government could run propaganda 24/7 on CNN. To make it happen we just need to get enough “progressive” Congressmen and 50 Senators to vote for it and President Biden to sign the bill. No problem.

Ditto for buying Disney with fake money from the Fed. Free Disney plus, free DVDs, free movies, and free visits to Disneyworld for all Americans!

The great part about our fake money plan is that you can buy up all these great companies and a dozen more for less than the $4.5 Trillion Dollars— that’s the fake money we’ve already created and spent on the Coronavirus pandemic stimulus.

We Like Stimulus Checks Too

Everybody loves free stuff— free $1,200 checks in the mail, free healthcare, and… oh before I forget, we need to buy Netflix too. I have some binge watching to do on Netflix and it would be great if it were free too.

I can only hope and pray no one in Washington reads this and takes us seriously.

Freebie-ism Doesn’t Work

We have a word in English for people who think like this— socialists.

Marxism was a similar concept. Karl Marx was a revolutionary, socialist, historian, and economist who advocated class warfare. His goal was to lead to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. He would love to run Microsoft if he were alive today!

Socialism never worked out well for the people of the Soviet Union, Cuba, or Argentina— or anywhere. Socialism seems to make everyone poorer, then they all want to move to America.

The Scary Want-To-Be Socialist Millennials

Not everyone agrees with us. Latest surveys confirm nearly one-half of millennials are receptive to living under socialism and regard capitalism as a captive of greed.

Millennials learn very little accurate history in school or on Social media. Otherwise, they would know socialism has never succeeded anywhere. Look at the Marxism-Leninism of the Soviet Union, the National Socialism of Nazi Germany, the Maoism of Communist China, the Chavez-Maduro socialism of Venezuela. All were failures until a revolt to capitalism gave them a lift.

(The Heritage Foundation has a great article on the human experience with these non-free market ideas. You can read it here.)

The primary idea I want to convey in this article is not political. Nor do we want to defend free market capitalism since that’s not what we’re experiencing this century.

We do want to help everyone think through the next four years with a great deal of skepticism. Be skeptical about Trillions of Dollars created out of thin air. Somebody pays eventually.

The Government Has No Money To Give Away

Be leery about our government giving away free stuff and especially about the Federal Reserve creating Trillions of fake dollars. Those guys are promising to save the economy that they shutdown. Sadly, long-term they may be torturing our American way of life.

* Lockdowns are not the freedom promised in the U.S. Constitution.

* A media one-sided to promote “progressive liberal” ideas is not the free press our founders envisioned.

* Cameras watching us on every street corner is not the right to privacy.

* Fake money does not make us a wealthier nation.

Now Let’s Review the U.S. Constitution and Fake Money

Here is all the Constitution says about the money power of the government.

From Article I, Section 8, “Congress shall have Power…to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin.”

Section 10, “No state…shall make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.

To this day, we as Americans have the right to sound money. This clause declaring only Gold and Silver shall be money was carefully crafted and not an afterthought. Our founders guaranteed to us the right to Gold and Silver exclusively. Their goal was to keep our leaders from devaluing our currency in the destructive ways of English Kings, Roman Emperors, Monarchs, Sultans, monarchs, dictators, and Presidents.

Somebody Owes $27.4 Trillion Dollars

If $4 Trillion or $5 Trillion or $27 Trillion dollars of fake money aren’t enough to warn you of the imminent dangers coming from Washington these days… what will it take?

Creating money out of thin air has never made ordinary citizens better off. Just the opposite. In fact, every fiat paper currency ever invented has failed to hold its value given enough time. The temptation of leaders to print excessive money is historically worse than crack cocaine.

Everyone thinks they can wean themselves off debt and monetary inflation. But, every society has failed to stop printing until circulating fiat money is denominated in paper bills of $100,000 to million dollar bills— finally to billion dollar bills to pay for a sack of groceries. Take Zimbabwe’s money for example.

None of the disasters we’ve discussed will strike next week or next year. But with the Federal Reserve handing out free money, Congress stimulating their friends and donors with another Trillion Dollars, and near-zero interest paid to you on 10-year Treasury debt— things look pretty bleak long term.

Be Prepared for 2021

We only hope you have prepared for what may be a bad financial outcome in 2021 worldwide due to Covid-19. Don’t be fooled that things are going great.

The easiest path to Socialist control is through the excessive production of stimulus money in times of a crisis. Since 2008, no amount of borrowing, spending, and creating fake money has kept our nation’s economy sound, safe, and growing.

No amount of deficit spending in the years ahead will end the vicious cycle of crisis > bust > print money > bailouts > repeat.

Be prepared. Buy Gold. Buy Silver. Buy now.
